Presentation

For oral and lightning sessions, you will use the CONFERENCE LAPTOP to avoid technical issues and optimize timing.

You need to UPLOAD your presentation/poster to the SUBMISSION SYSTEM before NOVEMBER 13, 2023, Midnight AoE (Anywhere on Earth).

Preparation and submission

Please read the information about the oral sessions carefully.

1) Presentation duration

  • Each presentation is allocated 15 minutes. This time includes setup and questions.
    We recommend that the presentation of your slides take about 12 minutes, leaving 3 minutes for setup, introduction, summary, and questions from the audience.
    Recall that there will be plenty of time to discuss your work during the coffee breaks and social events.

2) Preparing your presentation

  • We accept only PowerPoint presentations 97–2007 or 2010 (or higher versions) (.ppt or .pptx) and Adobe Acrobat files (.pdf).
    If you do not use standard fonts, they must be embedded into your presentation.
    If you have a video or audio file embedded in the presentation, we recommend using a standard video and audio codec compatible with Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Your first slide should contain your presentation title, the authors' names, affiliations, and the conference logo.

3) Naming your file

  • The file's name must follow the format <SUBMISSION_ID>_<PRESENTER_LASTNAME>
  • The submission ID corresponds to the one assigned by CMT. For example, if John Smith presents submission 654, the file must be named 654_Smith.

2) Preparing your presentation

  • We accept only PDF files (.pdf).
  • Your first slide should contain your presentation title, the authors' names, affiliations, and the conference logo.

3) Naming your file

  • The file's name must follow the format <SUBMISSION_ID>_<PRESENTER_LASTNAME>
  • The submission ID corresponds to the one assigned by CMT. For example, if John Smith presents submission 654, the file must be named 654_Smith.

1) Presentation duration

  • Posters are presented during a half-day session
  • They should be mounted at 08:30 and removed at 13:00 for the morning sessions
  • They should be mounted at 13:30 and removed at 19:00 for the afternoon sessions
  • They should be mounted on the appropriately numbered board. Refer to the program for the number
  • The presenter must stand by his poster during the coffee break (35 min)
  • Authors are encouraged to engage the audience by making periodic presentations and answering questions

2) Poster format

  • Posters should be in portrait format
  • The maximal dimensions should be A0 portrait (84.1 cm wide x 118.9 cm high)
  • The conference organization will supply materials for mounting posters on the boards

3) Poster submission

  • There is no specific constraint except that it must be a pdf file
  • Please insert the logo of the conference.You can download it from here: white-version or blue-version;
  • The file's name must follow the format <SUBMISSION_ID>_<PRESENTER_LASTNAME>. The submission id corresponds to the one assigned by CMT. For example, if John Smith presents submission 654, the file must be named 654_Smith.
  • Upload your material to the submission management system at the following URL: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/COMPLEXNETWORKS2024/

4) Printing your poster

  • You must print out and bring your poster to the conference
  • Make sure that your poster is printed the day before your session.
